Half a home missing from tornado damage Individuals and business owners in Craig, Latimer, Ottawa and Pittsburg counties are now eligible for federal and state disaster assistance is they had damage or were otherwise affected by the tornadoes and other severe weather that hit the state on May 10. This is one of many homes destroyed in the wake of the tornado that touched down in southeastern Oklahoma.
Officials speak with resident whose home was destroyed A Picher resident whose home is one of 114 destroyed in the May 10 tornado, shares her experience with Gov. Brad Henry, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and FEMA Administrator David Paulison as they tour the devastation. The National Weather Service identified a 29-mile damage path for the tornado and rated it as an F4.
