Governor Henry Issues Burn Ban
Oklahoma City – Citing recent wildfires, the ongoing drought and continuing hot and windy weather conditions, Gov. Brad Henry today reinstated a statewide burn ban for Oklahoma. More - August 2, 2006.

Oklahoma City, OK – State and federal officials today announced a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) Mitigation Outreach Partnership with Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores, 4817 North Kickapoo Street in Shawnee and 2701 12th Avenue NW in Ardmore. Disaster Recovery Center to Open in Creek County
Oklahoma City - A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open in Kellyville on Saturday, Feb. 4, and serve applicants for federal and state disaster assistance through Thursday, Feb. 9. A second DRC will also open in McIntosh on Saturday (to operate Feb. 4 through Feb. 8), while a third DRC continues to operate in Garvin County until Feb. 5. More
