Federal Assistance Approved

FEMA Individual Assistance was approved on April 22 for Oklahomans impacted March wildfires and High Winds.  The following counties are eligible for aid: Cleveland, Creek, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Pawnee, and Payne counties.

SBA Disaster Loan Assistance was also approved for Canadian, Creek, Garfield, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, Noble, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Payne, Pottawatomie, and Tulsa counties.

FEMA Assistance Approved for March Wildfires

The White House has approved Gov. Kevin Stitt’s March 21 request for federal disaster assistance for seven counties related to devastating wildfires.

Individuals and business owners in Cleveland, Creek, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Pawnee, and Payne counties who were impacted by the March 14-21 wildfires and straight-line winds may now qualify for disaster aid through a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Individual Assistance disaster declaration.

The assistance from FEMA may cover housing repairs or temporary housing, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest loans for individuals and businesses to repair or replace damaged property, disaster unemployment assistance, and grants for serious needs and necessary disaster expenses not met by other programs.

To apply for disaster assistance, residents in Cleveland, Creek, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Pawnee, and Payne counties may call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or go online at www.disasterassistance.gov.


SBA Disaster Assistance Approved for March Wildfires

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved an SBA Disaster Declaration for five counties impacted by the March wildfires: Creek, Lincoln, Logan, Pawnee, and Payne. Under SBA rules, assistance is also available in Canadian, Garfield, Kingfisher, Noble, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pottawatomie, and Tulsa counties.

Homeowners and renters are eligible to apply for home and personal property loans to repair or replace personal property damaged by the fires. Businesses and nonprofits are eligible to apply for business physical disaster loans to repair or replace disaster-damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets.

To apply online, visit sba.gov/disaster. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.

SBA customer service representatives will be on hand at Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOCs) to answer questions about SBA’s disaster loan program, explain the application process and help individuals complete their applications.

The deadline to return physical damage applications is July 21, 2025. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Feb. 20, 2026.

Financial Assistance Provided by Oklahoma Association of Realtors

The Oklahoma Association of Realtors and Oklahoma Housing Foundation have partnered with the REALTORS® Relief Foundation to provide grants up to $1,000 for Oklahomans in need.

Each household impacted by the wildfires in the counties where Governor Stitt has declared a state of emergency, is eligible for up to $1,000 grant for reimbursement of a mortgage payment, a month’s rent, or the cost of alternative housing after the disaster if you were displaced. Deadline for application is June 2, 2025.

Clean Up Help

If you have been affected by the fires and are homeowners in need of help with chainsaw or ash clean up, contact Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief at 844-690-9198 or visit okdisasterhelp.org to request assistance. 

Samaritan's Purse volunteers have been assisting in Stillwater and Mannford. Visit spvolunteer.org for updates and volunteer opportunities as they become available.

Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma - To receive assistance after any disaster, call their Disaster Line at (918) 935-2650 or fill out this form.

Assistive Technology and Durable Medical Equipment Replacement

Be a Neighbor

Be a Neighbor is a resource offered by Oklahoma Human Services designed to connect Oklahomans in need with local nonprofits, faith-based groups, tribes and community organizations. Through the Be a Neighbor portal, you can search specific needs (food, clothing, housing, etc.) and find organizations in your local community offering those resources and services.

Disaster Distress Helpline

The Disaster Distress Helpline (DDH) is the first national hotline dedicated to providing year-round disaster crisis counseling. This toll-free, multilingual, crisis support service is available 24/7 to all residents in the U.S. and its territories who are experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters.
