Renewable Energy Recycling Facility
The Commission regulates renewable energy recycling facilities in Oklahoma, pursuant to the Oklahoma Wind Energy Development Act, 17 O.S. § 160.14A.
Renewable energy recycling operators must be familiar with and comply with Commission rules, OAC 165:35-45-9. Operators who fail to submit the information required by the statute and rules shall be subject to an administrative penalty not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day.
In accordance with the applicable statute and rules, each renewable energy recycling facility operator shall submit timely annual reports and evidence of financial security.
In addition, wind facility operators that choose to send wind turbine blade renewable energy components to a third-party recycling facility located in Oklahoma shall utilize renewable energy recycling facilities listed on the Commission website.
