SREB understands the unique needs of technology center leaders. TCTW consultants develop center leaders’ capacity to recognize and support effective teaching practices and design standards-driven curricula and assignments.
Consultants show center leaders how to conduct classroom observations, provide feedback and offer teachers professional development and instructional coaching. Center leaders also learn how to review student assignments for alignment with grade-level standards and industry standards.
SREB works with technology center leaders, home high schools, postsecondary educators and employer partners to design and implement career pathways leading to identified workforce needs. SREB staff can also provide guidance on how to use advisory committees to support instruction.
TCTW technical assistance includes career pathway audits, teacher and student surveys, and site visits. SREB also invites center leaders and teachers to attend its annual TCTW national forum, which convenes K-12 and postsecondary leaders around issues facing technology centers.
