American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) Members
American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) members are eligible to opt in to SoonerSelect. You can enroll in a SoonerSelect health plan, a SoonerSelect dental plan or both. Please note that the opt-in for health and dental plans are separate processes.
AI/AN members are not required to enroll. It is optional. No action is necessary unless you want to join a SoonerSelect health or dental plan. If you do not opt in to SoonerSelect, you will remain on SoonerCare, and nothing will change. You will not lose SoonerCare coverage.
TRIBAL BENEFITS OFFERED BY SOONERSELECT
AI/AN members may receive services that have not been traditionally covered under SoonerCare. These extra benefits vary by health and dental plan. One example may include receiving financial resources to cover the cost of traditional healing or ceremonial practices.

OPTING IN/ENROLLING
HEALTH:
AI/AN members can opt in to SoonerSelect health during the open enrollment period. You may choose Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma, Humana Healthy Horizons in Oklahoma or Oklahoma Complete Health. Be sure to compare the extra benefits offered by each plan.
The next open enrollment is May 1-June 13, 2025.
AI/AN members on a SoonerSelect health plan can still see Indian Health Care Providers, even if your provider is not in the provider directory.
If you opt in to SoonerSelect but do not pick a plan, OHCA will assign one of these SoonerSelect plans to you. You can enroll at MySoonerCare.org or by calling Choice Counseling at 800-987-7767, option 5, to opt in.
DENTAL:
AI/AN members can opt in to SoonerSelect dental during the open enrollment period. You may choose DentaQuest or LIBERTY Dental. Be sure to compare the extra benefits offered by each plan.
The next open enrollment is May 1-June 13, 2025.

OPTING OUT/DISENROLLING
AI/AN members may disenroll from the SoonerSelect program at any time. If you opt out, you will remain on the traditional SoonerCare plan.
A member who disenrolls from SoonerSelect will have the opportunity to re-enroll during the next open enrollment period. You can disenroll by logging in at MySoonerCare.org or calling the SoonerCare helpline 800-987-7767.
