Alarm, Locksmith & Fire Sprinkler
The CareerTech Testing Center offers the following written exams required for Oklahoma licensure in the alarm, locksmith and fire sprinkler industry
- Salesperson Commercial Fire
- Technician (Burglar/Residential Fire, Commercial Fire, Electronic Access Control, Nurse Call, CCTV, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler)
- Manager (one exam for all areas).
- Fire Sprinkler Inspector.
Testing Fee
- Salesperson - $45 per exam onsite/$70 per exam online
- Technician or Inspector exams - $65 per exam onsite/$92 per exam online
- Fire Sprinkler Plan & Design - $65 per exam onsite/$70 per exam online
- Manager (all areas) - $45 per exam onsite/ $70 per exam online

Required Documentation
- Current valid driver’s license issued by any U.S. state or Oklahoma Identification Card.
NOTE: These are the only forms of photo identification accepted. - Manager Requirements Update - effective date is November 1, 2023

Alarm, Locksmith & Fire Sprinkler Industry Act (PDF)
Beginning May 1, 2024, all exams will be updated to reflect changes made by the Ad Hoc Committee established by the Alarm, Locksmith, & Fire Sprinkler Industry Committee. These changes will be reflected May 1, 2024 on our website to include new Study Guides. The Allowed Resource changes can be viewed below in the one noted for May 1, 2024 to provide you time to obtain the correct versions of the code books prior to testing May 1, 2024.
