Business & Industry Services Certification Program (BISCP)
Program Information
The Business and Industry Certification Program is designed specifically to provide information, training and resources for new directors and coordinators/trainers who work in the Adult & Career Development, Business & Industry Services, or Workforce & Economic Development divisions at their technology center. The mission of the BISCP is to develop and train technology center representatives as Business and Industry Services Coordinators to more eectively meet the training needs of Oklahomans.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a director or coordinator/trainer who works in the Adult & Career Development, Business & Industry Services or Workforce & Economic Development divisions at their technology Center.
- Have approval from their immediate supervisor.
- Be able to attend all sessions and complete assigned activities.
Objectives for the BIS Certification Program
- Build an effective professional resource network.
- Explain the basics of the Oklahoma CareerTech System.
- Use and improve team building skills.
- Implement results-based interventions.
- Conduct performance consulting and needs assessment.
- Market services to internal and external customers.
- Use and improve communication skills.
- Implement ODCTE documentation and data requirements.
