General

Be A Neighbor is a free resource! There is no charge for registering or for searching for resources.

Be A Neighbor is a web-based platform that is accessible from any device (mobile, laptop, or desktop/PC). No application download is necessary.

Be a Neighbor is a resource from Oklahoma Human Services that connects Oklahomans with local non-profits, faith based organizations, and tribes that can help meet their needs. Through the Be A Neighbor portal, you can search specific needs (food, child care, etc.) and find organizations in your local community offering those resources.


Community

Be A Neighbor is the only platform that connect state agencies with organizations across the state to try and help people with a problem before it becomes a crises.

Click the Registration on the main page and select Neighbor Organization. Then, enter your organization's information and services provided.


Neighbor Organizations

The TIN (Tax Identification Number) or EIN (Employer Identification Number) helps us verify your organization. Once your organization is verified, you will receive an approval email with information on how to set up your password and login into your dashboard/profile.

After logging in, click on the drop down menu in the upper right corner where your name is. Select My Profile and then click Edit to add a contact person, add services, update hours of operation, and upload a logo for your profile.


Volunteer

Everyone can play a part. Our goal is to unite courageous Oklahomans who are willing to do their part to empower their communities.

We’re looking for:

  • General helpers (food delivery, etc.)
  • Those that can help with coordinating and organizing
  • General volunteer support
  • Administrative support
  • Help with community events
  • and more!

Fill out the form here to tell us a little about yourself and how you’d like to help. We’ll get to work finding opportunities in your community.

Once you fill out the form and setup your Volunteer profile. You can login to your dashboard and view open volunteer opportunities.

Be a Neighbor is lead by Oklahoma Human Services

 No, the Be A Neighbor program is statewide.

From the drop down menu select Campaign Dashboard. You can view all or filter by location and category.

From the drop down menu select Campaign Dashboard. On the Category drop down menu select Goods and Products or Donations to filter your search. 

After you log in, click My Profile in the drop down menu then click the Edit button on the top right corner of your profile.
