OHCA Invites Rural Providers to Apply for Help Connecting to Statewide Health Data Network

Friday, October 30, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) is now accepting applications from eligible rural healthcare providers who want help with any combination of joining Oklahoma’s statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE), purchasing an electronic health record (EHR) or upgrading their existing EHR systems. Applications for year one are due Dec. 31, 2026.

The assistance is available through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). Eligible providers can seek support to take part in the HIE, to implement, replace, optimize or expand a certified EHR system, or both.

The solution also includes data and analytics tools that give providers a clearer picture of their patients, including care gaps and quality measure performance.

The application lets the Office of the State Coordinator for Health Information Exchange know a provider’s interest in HIE assistance, EHR assistance or both. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding or approval. Applications will be reviewed based on program eligibility, funding availability, provider need, implementation readiness and program priorities.

Rural healthcare providers interested in assistance can apply at okshine.ok.gov/applyrhtp.
Applications for year two will open January 15, 2027, and close May 31, 2027.
