SoonerCare Representatives Bringing Community Forum To Clinton on September 4
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) invites the public to attend a community forum on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Weichel Conference Room at Clinton Regional Hospital. SoonerCare members, providers and interested citizens are asked to participate in this two-way conversation regarding Oklahoma’s SoonerCare (Medicaid) program.
“The OHCA is dedicated to collaborating with community partners to continue to build strong, healthy communities,” said OHCA Community Relations Manager Hillary Winn. “This community forum is an opportunity to meet with state and local partners to discuss SoonerCare programs and how we can work together to increase the well-being of qualified Oklahomans through quality health care.”
Katie Woodward, program manager of the Oklahoma Durable Medical Equipment Reuse Program (OKDMERP), will also be on hand to receive donations of lightly used equipment. Suggestions for drop-off include shower chairs, canes, and CPAPs.
The forum is open to all members of surrounding communities and counties.
Seating is limited, so plan to arrive early.
The Clinton Regional Hospital is located at 100 N. 30th St. in Clinton, Oklahoma. RSVP by email to melinda.snowden@okhca.org or by phone at (580) 213-3173.
About OHCA
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) administers two key health programs for the state. The first is SoonerCare, Oklahoma’s Medicaid program. SoonerCare works to improve the health outcomes of Oklahomans by ensuring that medically necessary benefits and services are responsive to the health care needs of our members. Qualifying Oklahomans include certain low-income children, seniors, the disabled, those being treated for breast or cervical cancer and those seeking family planning services. The second program OHCA operates is Insure Oklahoma, which assists qualifying adults and small business employees in obtaining health care coverage for themselves and their families. OHCA strives to educate and engage our current 808,438 members regarding personal responsibilities for their health services utilization, behaviors, and outcomes in partnership with a state-wide network of 38,879 providers.
