SoonerCare Representatives Bringing Community Forum To Stigler On Sep. 6
You are invited to attend a community forum on Thursday, Sep. 6 at 3 p.m. at the KiBois Community Action Center in Stigler. SoonerCare members, providers and interested citizens are asked to participate in this two-way conversation regarding Oklahoma’s Medicaid program.
“The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) is working with state partners to convene a community forum focused on SoonerCare programs,” said OHCA Community Relations Manager Ed Long. “Community members will work together with agency staff to develop strategies to meet local needs and ensure access to quality health care for qualified Oklahomans. The forum will be an open discussion about what OHCA can do to help our partners build stronger, healthier communities.”
Representatives from Oklahoma’s Durable Medical Equipment Reuse Program (OKDMERP) will also be on hand to receive donations of lightly used DME. Suggestions for drop-off include wheelchairs, nebulizers and scooters.
Attendees will represent communities from Haskell, Latimer, Pittsburgh, Sequoyah, McIntosh and LeFlore counties. Seating is limited, so please arrive early.
The KiBois Community Action Center is located at 200 SE “A” Street in Stigler, Oklahoma. RSVP by email to janet.byas@okhca.org or call 405-522-7392.
