Apprenticeship Oklahoma
What Is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeship is a proven, industry-driven approach to workforce development that combines paid, hands-on work experience with classroom instruction. Apprentices can earn while they learn, developing job-ready skills and gaining credentials that lead to high quality careers.

Oklahoma CareerTech supports apprenticeship pathways that serve both individuals and businesses – creating long-term talent pipelines and meaningful career opportunities.
Two Types of Apprenticeships in Oklahoma
Oklahoma offers two apprenticeship pathways, each designed to meet different needs and goals.

- Minimum Requirements: 2,000+ hours of On-the-Job Learning (OJL) and 144+ hours of Related Instruction (RI)

CareerTech Apprenticeship (CTA)
Designed and approved by Oklahoma CareerTech, CTAs offer a flexible and faster path for training talent in high-need occupations. These programs are ideal for employers looking to build skills internally or develop a local talent pool while maintaining high standards of education and training.
Key Features:
- Credential: CareerTech Certificate
