Prescriber Identification

OHCA uses a prescriber's NPI number for identification.

The Prescriber Identification website enables providers to search for an organization’s or individual provider's National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) information. Please note that when searching for a prescriber’s NPI for pharmacy billing, pharmacies should select the link to search for an individual provider, not the link to search for an organizational provider.
