ICF/IID Enhanced Payment Program for Provision of Vocational and/or Day Services (APA WF 23-12)

The proposed revisions will implement the changes required by OK Senate Bill 1074 which authorizes the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) to implement an enhanced payment program for Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID) that offer vocational services or day program services or both.  The purpose of the enhanced payment is to offset the costs incurred by ICFs/IIDs in these services as these services are currently funded by donations/charity.  The enhanced payment will be in addition to all other reimbursement from the OHCA.

Jessicia:

This is excellent and has been needed for so long. DDS has always gotten Vocational reimbursements (at extremely high rates) and the residents living in ICFs are just as deserving. Thank you!

Michael:

Thank you for finally funding these services. Please, when doing your rates, make sure that ICFs are funded the same as DHS vocational services Thank you!

Lori Ann:

Thank you for considering funding for vocational services! Please be sure to fund ICFs at the same rate as DDS vocational services.

Nathan:

This is a long overdue recognition for the work done at ICFs. Hopefully the reimbursement will be the same as dds vocational payments

Steve:

Please support the enhanced payment program for vocational services in ICFs. My daughter lives in a small, 16 bed ICF, and I know firsthand the benefits of having vocational and occupational programs.  She has benefited from these in-house programs that teach job and interpersonal skills.

She is currently employed at a local YMCA.  The enhanced payments allow small ICFs to continue this important training that helps disabled adults find jobs, become more independent, and increase their sense of self worth.

Steven:

I am pleased to see the promulgation of policy on the enhanced payment program. Recognition of and reimbursement for vocational programs is an important step in allowing these providers to help individuals find success.

Amy:

Thank you for funding these services. When doing your rates, please make sure that ICFs are funded the same as DDS vocational services. My son depends on it!

Cynthia:

We need to fund these programs. It’s the right thing to do.
