These rule changes were previously approved by the OHCA Board of Directors and the Governor and are currently in effect as emergency rules. Due to Oklahoma Statutes, these rules must be taken through the permanent rulemaking process.

The proposed rule changes will expand Medicaid eligibility for individuals defined by 42 Code of Federal Regulations § 435.119 who are age nineteen (19) or older and under sixty-five (65), at or below 133 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL), and who are not categorically related to the aged, blind, or disabled.

Theresa Godfrey:

Please do not expand Medicaid. We are having so many issues in other states. Medicaid just needs to be simplified and kept at the state level. Once you try to capitalize with MCO's quality goes way down.

OHCA Response:

Thank your for your comment. The OHCA takes every comment under advisement and consideration.
