Scheduling an EPSDT Exam

If you are a SoonerCare member and need to make an appointment for an EPSDT exam, call your SoonerCare provider. If you have called your provider but have trouble getting an appointment, call SoonerCare Helpline (800) 987-7767. Also, your provider may refer your child to see another provider in a public school, hospital or health clinic.

If you are in the fee-for-service program, call the provider you have chosen for your child. It may take up to three weeks to get an appointment.

Free Transportation to the EPSDT Exam

If you are in the SoonerCare or Medicaid fee-for-service program, call SoonerRide (877) 404-4500 or (800) 722-0353 TDD, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. SoonerCare is free and will take you and your child or children to your Medicaid appointment. You must call SoonerCare at least three days before your child's appointment.

Cancelling Appointment

You should always try your best to keep your appointment, but if something happens and you cannot keep it you should:

  • Always call your provider's office to cancel the appointment.
  • Call the office as soon as you know you will not be able to keep the appointment.
  • Call SoonerRide to cancel if you had arranged to get a ride to or from the appointment.
