Special Restrictions Must have minimum language and math skill levels of 5.0 as measured by TABE. Must be an individual capable of lifting a minimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work on ladders and scaffolding.
Course Description This course will prepare students to enter and succeed in the electrical field as a residential electrician, commercial/industrial electrician and or as a maintenance electrician. This course will consist of these basic areas of instruction: safety, use of hand & power tools including specialty electrical tools, electrical theory, blueprint reading, electrical licensing requirements, National Electric Code, residential wiring methods, commercial wiring methods, industrial wiring methods, and maintenance/troubleshooting principles.
