Northeast Tech names assistant superintendent, Kansas Campus director

Northeast Tech has named Renae Dozier assistant superintendent and campus director for the Kansas Campus. For the past year, she served as campus director-elect.

She has almost 30 years’ experience in education and leadership. She previously served as assistant superintendent and high school principal for Grove Public Schools, where she played a key role in advancing academic programs, supporting faculty development and strengthening partnerships between schools and the community.

“Renae’s extensive experience in educational leadership, combined with her dedication to serving students and supporting staff, makes her an outstanding addition to the Northeast Tech leadership team,” Superintendent Derek Beller said.

Dozier was named the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators Assistant Superintendent/District Office Employee of the Year for District 6 in 2022 and 2024 and Oklahoma Principal of the Year in 2012.

 

Oklahoma Summit early bird deadline is this week

The early bird registration deadline for the 59th annual Oklahoma Summit is July 17.

The annual conference for CareerTech professionals in Oklahoma will be Aug. 2-4 at Arvest Convention Center in Tulsa.

It will feature former NFL coach Daron Roberts as the keynote speaker. Roberts is the author of “Microwins: Go Small, Build Momentum and Tackle the Goals that Actually Matter in Life,” “Call an Audible: Let My Pivot from Harvard Law to NFL Coach Inspire Your Transition” and “A Kids Book About Empathy.”

Autry Tech team places fourth in national contest

A team from Autry Technology Center recently placed fourth in the Project MFG Advanced Manufacturing National Championship at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama.

The teams at the national competition advanced from regional contests, where 57 teams from across the country competed. In the three-day competition, they used skills in additive manufacturing, CNC machining, metrology, robotics, industrial automation and precision manufacturing technologies.

The Autry Tech team received $10,000 for placing fourth.

Golf tourney registration deadline is this week

The deadline to register for the Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation 2026 Golf Tournament is July 15.

The tournament will kick off at 8 a.m. Aug. 2 at South Lakes Golf Course in Jenks. Proceeds will support CareerTech student organizations and general scholarships.

Sponsorships range from $200 for a hole sponsor to $2,500 for a tournament sponsor. Individual registration is $125, and team registration for four players is $400. Individual and team registration includes 18 holes, cart use, range balls, beverage cart service and lunch.
