Tech center employees graduate Leadership Oklahoma
Three Oklahoma CareerTech technology center employees graduated from Leadership Oklahoma Class 38 recently:
- Rachel Snider, director of student services, Autry Tech.
- Jeremy Zweiacker, executive director of planning and operations, Meridian Tech.
- Jessie Phillips, executive director of communications and marketing, Kiamichi Tech.
They joined 44 other leaders from across the state who completed the intensive nine-month program designed to deepen their understanding of Oklahoma’s most pressing challenges and opportunities.
They traveled to communities across Oklahoma, gaining firsthand insight into the state’s industries, cultures and regional dynamics. Along the way, they engaged with top state leaders, industry experts and community advocates, broadening their perspectives and equipping them to lead with greater impact.
Pontotoc Tech acquires state-of-the-art submersible
Pontotoc Technology Center recently acquired a custom-built remotely operated submersible, which it will use for underwater technology training.
The tech center applied for a grant to acquire a submersible system in 2025. The submersible’s features include sonar, high-resolution camera systems and a precision grabber arm and can operate in zero-visibility environments.
PTC will use it to provide hands-on training and operational support for emergency management, police and fire departments.

Oklahoma DECA students shine at international conferences
More than 200 Oklahoma DECA students and advisers attended international conferences in April, competing against and networking with thousands of other DECA members from around the world.
More than 30 members and advisers represented Oklahoma at the Collegiate International Career Development Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, where Peighton Harak and Tucker West completed their terms as international vice presidents on the 2025-26 Collegiate DECA Executive Council.
12 graduate from BIS Cert Pro
Twelve technology center professionals completed the 2025-26 Oklahoma CareerTech Business and Industry Services Certification Pro program.
BIS Cert Pro is designed to strengthen leadership, communication and collaboration skills. Since September, workforce and economic development professionals from across the state have traveled Oklahoma, experiencing CareerTech in action through hands-on learning, industry tours and collaboration with peers.
Graduating from the program were Sarah Adcock and Richard Cotner, Central Tech; Chance Brentlinger, Meridian Tech; Julie Farmer, Eastern Oklahoma County Tech, Joey Johnson and Heather Williams, Tulsa Tech; Carminia Magby, Kiamichi Tech; Missy Moore, Francis Tuttle Tech; Kevin O'Donnell, MidAmerica Tech; Darla Schell, Pontotoc Tech; and Meredith Westfahl and Lisa White, Autry Tech.
