CareerTech director talks about skilled workers, jobs, more
Oklahoma CareerTech State Director Brent Haken talked to News on 6 last week about the growing demand for skilled workers and how CareerTech helps connect individuals and industries in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma CareerTech, he said, “is really the house that Oklahoma built for workforce development.”
Many people, he told the news station, don’t know the scope of Oklahoma CareerTech, which includes technology center secondary and postsecondary programs, K-12 school programs, adult education and family literacy providers, training for business and industry and programs in prisons and juvenile facilities.
“Our focus is how do we make sure the businesses here in Oklahoma and the businesses of tomorrow have what they need,” he said.
