Mid-America seeking millage increase for new campus

Residents in the Mid-America Technology Center district will decide Tuesday whether or not the tech center will get a millage increase.

Mid-America Tech plans to use the millage increase to build a new campus in the northern area of the district. Funds would also help pay for maintenance, repairs and other building costs.

The tech center reported that 1,106 people were on a full-time program waiting list as of June 2. Adding space will allow more students to enroll, the tech center said.

Answers to questions about the election are available on the Mid-America Tech website.
