Caddo Kiowa student accepted to MIT
A Verden student accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology credits Caddo Kiowa Technology Center with preparing him for the university.
Shelton Willis studied in Caddo Kiowa’s pre-engineering program, immersing himself in advanced STEM coursework, hands-on projects and real world engineering challenges. He said the skills he learned there in critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving helped him get accepted to MIT.
“The pre-engineering program at CKTC helped me discover who I am as a student and as a future engineer,” he said.
He plans to attend MIT in the fall and study mechanical or electrical engineering.
