Moore Norman bond issue passes

Voters last week approved a $90 million bond for Moore Norman Technology Center.

MNTC plans to use the money to upgrade and expand facilities for construction trades, health care education and business workforce development training.

The tech center reported that this year, 25% of qualified student applicants were put on waiting lists because there was not enough classroom space. The investment will give more students access to workforce training in high demand careers, according to the MNTC website.
