OEIP plans session on electric vehicles

Oklahoma Education and Industry Partnerships will focus on electric vehicles in Oklahoma in a session March 28 at Francis Tuttle Technology Center’s Rockwell Campus.

The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Topics will include types of vehicles, safety and training. The event will also include hand-on demonstrations and time for questions and answers.

CareerTech expanding access to aerospace careers

Oklahoma's aviation industry is growing, and more skilled workers are needed to fill jobs.

Instructors at Oklahoma CareerTech’s technology centers are finding new ways to expand access to women in their programs and to inform them of the stellar opportunities a career in aerospace can give them.

Making It Work Day video available

Video of the recent Making It Work Day at the Capitol ceremony is available on Oklahoma CareerTech’s YouTube page.

Making It Work Day recognizes nontraditional students and individuals who are committed to removing barriers to success for single-parent families by providing educational experiences for students beyond the classroom. The Oklahoma Career and Technical Education Equity Council honored 17 Oklahomans and three businesses and organizations at the 29th annual Making It Work Day at the Capitol earlier this month.

Metro Tech opens film program registration

Registration is open for a two-day intensive high school film program for students in grades nine through 12 who are interested in filmmaking.

The 10th annual deadCenter University is scheduled for June 8-9 and is presented by Metro Technology Centers in partnership with deadCenter Film Festival. Registration is open to students who are at least 15 years old.
