During the 2022 legislative period, House Bill (HB) 3316 was passed by the legislature and later signed by Governor Stitt.  HB3316 modified Title 22 O.S.  Section 18 and 19 to create a state-initiated criminal history expungement process widely known as “Clean Slate.”  HB3316 required implementing this process three (3) years after the bill’s effective date of November 1, 2022, pending the availability of funding. The Clean Slate expungement process will enable individuals with an eligible record to have the record sealed without filing a court petition.

***Open to Criminal Justice Partners located in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Tulsa Counties (i.e., police departments, sheriff’s offices, corrections, prosecuting agencies, court clerks, judges, etc.).  These counties will take priority, and others will be placed on a waitlist.
