OSBI Laboratories and Facilities

The OSBI currently has two separate laboratories conveniently located to provide services and testimony to various regions of the state. To find out more about these laboratories, the counties they serve, and the services offered, click on the tabs below. The OSBI is also accepting evidence at the Southwestern Regional Facility in Lawton, OK, the Northwest Regional Facility in Woodward, OK, and at the Eastern Regional Facility in McAlester, OK. These facilities do not perform laboratory analyses. However, evidence may be submitted at the Lawton and McAlester facilities; it will be transported to and analyzed at one of our two testing laboratories.

The Southwestern Regional Facility in Lawton, Oklahoma is no longer available for laboratory analysis. Current evidence acceptance is Southwest Regional Facility, 1010 SW Railroad Street, Lawton.

Effective September 2023, the new location for OSBI Lab evidence acceptance in Lawton at the OBNDD office will be open 2 days per week for our customers.

The services offered by the Forensic Science Center include: Controlled Substances Trace Evidence Analysis Forensic Biology Latent Evidence Firearms and Toolmarks Forensic Toxicology Evidence Acceptance Hours: Evidence will be accepted between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Officers submitting evidence must be at our facility before 4:00 p.m. to begin submitting evidence. Our Evidence Tech Units will close promptly at 5:00 p.m. each day. As a result, if an evidence submittal is started before 4:00 p.m. but not completed by 5:00 p.m., the remaining evidence will be returned to the officer, and he/she will be required to return the next business day to complete the evidence submittal. Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience, officers with large amounts of evidence to submit are encouraged to submit the evidence to the OSBI lab early in the day.

	The OSBI office is located on the north side of the Bank 7 building @ 3300 Oklahoma Ave, Ste 1600 Woodward, OK 73801 There is a buzzer to the right of the door, which should be pressed upon arrival to alert OSBI staff of a visitor needing to gain entry for evidence submission. The door will be opened and an OSBI staff member will escort the stakeholder in for evidence submission.
