DeAnna Stillwell

DeAnna Christine (Bullock) Stillwell, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on June 30, 2023, in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Born on May 30, 1969, in McAlester, Oklahoma, DeAnna was a beacon of intelligence, thoughtfulness, and courage throughout her life. DeAnna was the cherished daughter of James and DeCarla Bullock. She was a proud graduate of McAlester High School, class of 1987. DeAnna furthered her education at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, where she graduated in 1989. She then attended East Central University in Ada, earning a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 1991 and a Master's degree in Human Resources in 2001. Her commitment to education was a testament to her intelligence and determination.

In August of 2003, DeAnna married the love of her life, Matthew Edward Stillwell. Their relationship was a beautiful testament to mutual support, deep love, and shared joy. DeAnna was a devoted mother to their two sons, Jake and Ethan, always present at school events and cheering them on at sporting events. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life.

DeAnna began her professional journey as a legal secretary for the Pittsburg County District Attorney’s Office. In 1998, she joined the OSBI as a physical evidence technician at the OSBI Laboratory in McAlester. She later served as a training specialist for the OSBI in Oklahoma City for seven years before becoming the human resources program manager for OSBI and the ABLE Commission. DeAnna was a dedicated employee, mentor, and friend to many, always caring about the success and well-being of her colleagues.

Outside of her professional life, DeAnna had a passion for traveling and cherished the holidays spent with her family. Her thoughtful nature and courageous spirit were evident in her interactions with everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make those around her feel valued and loved.

DeAnna is survived by her loving family, husband, Matt; sons, Jake and Ethan; parents, James and DeCarla Bullock; sister, Tina Rich; nephew, Jamesson Rich and wife, Leah; niece, Kaylee Brown; great nephews, Nolan and Ivan Rich; great niece, Bladyn Brown; sister-in-law, Kathy Cryer and husband, Sammy; nephew, Chase Cryer, niece Cassidy Cryer; great niece, Blakeley Soper; great nephew, Brody Soper; aunt and uncle, Everetta and Denis Vogel, uncle and aunt, Jeff and Dana Parker, aunt and uncle Debbie and Mike Marshall; and numerous other family members and friends.

DeAnna's passing is a profound loss to all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
