Outpatient Behavioral Health
Outpatient Behavioral Health Centers generally provide services that range from psychotherapy (counseling) to medication management to psychological testing. Some agencies provide case management services and different types of social skills training. All provide mental health assessment. A few specialize in services to the severely mentally ill, outpatient drug and alcohol services and some specialize in services for children.
There are 2 major types, those contracted by OHCA as private outpatient providers and those contracted by the Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) as Community Mental Health Centers and by OHCA.
Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Services.
Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Services are those delivered within an assertive community based approach to provide treatment, rehabilitation, and essential behavioral health supports on a continuous basis to individuals 18 years of age or older with serious mental illness with a self contained multi-disciplinary team. The team must use an integrated service approach to merge essential clinical and rehabilitative functions and staff expertise. This level of service is to be provided only for persons most clearly in need of intensive ongoing services. Services must satisfy all statutory required program elements as articulated in the Oklahoma Administrative Code 450:55.
