Starting January 1, 2006, everyone with Medicare got prescription drug coverage.

Important features

You will be able to choose between at least two plans and pick the plan that is right for you.
If you are eligible for SoonerCare (Oklahoma Medicaid), SoonerCare will continue to pay for your other health care costs.
If you are eligible for full SoonerCare services, the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) will enroll you in a Medicare prescription drug plan.
If SoonerCare helps pay for your Medicare premiums, then you can enroll in a Medicare Part D plan until May 15, 2006. If you do not join a plan by May 15, 2006, CMS will enroll you in a plan.
