Technical Rescue Training
Program Purpose
Providing Oklahoma rescuers with safe, effective hands-on training to develop the skills necessary for rescue-response.
Guided by seasoned Oklahoma State University's Fire Service Training instructors, students work with the tools of the trade, solving realistic rescue scenarios under real-life conditions. This type of applied learning enables students to readily deploy their knowledge and skills in actual rescue-response situations.
Courses Offered
Technical Rescue Programs offered by our office are grouped into five (5) discipline areas: Rope, Confined Space, Trench, Collapse, and Water Rescue.
- Rope Rescue Operations 1 (New standards) - 32 hours.
Part A - 16 hours.

- Confined Space Rescue Technician - 16 hours.

- Swiftwater Operations - 24 hours.
- Swiftwater Technician - 40 hours.
