Oklahoma CareerTech State Director Brent Haken will participate in Leadership Oklahoma Class 39.

Haken will join 51 other leaders from across the state who underwent a competitive selection process. They represent business, education, health care, agriculture, government and nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma.

“Leadership Oklahoma is honored to welcome the exceptional individuals selected for Class 39,” said Jodi Lewis, president and CEO of Leadership Oklahoma. “These leaders bring a remarkable breadth of experience, expertise and passion for Oklahoma. Over the next 10 months, they will engage in meaningful dialogue, explore the opportunities and challenges facing our state and build lasting relationships that will help shape Oklahoma’s future for generations to come.”

Haken said he hopes to gain valuable insight into the different industries in Oklahoma and learn more about what helps Oklahomans thrive so he can better serve the state in his role at CareerTech.

“Leadership Oklahoma is one of the most recognized leadership development programs with a distinguished set of alumni, and I am honored to be selected as part of this class,” he said.

Participants in the class will visit communities throughout Oklahoma, including Seminole, Lawton/Fort Sill, McAlester, Tahlequah, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, Tulsa, Guymon and Duncan, to gain an understanding of Oklahoma’s diverse strengths, challenges and opportunities.

Leadership Oklahoma was founded in 1986 and is dedicated to recruiting, educating and connecting caring and committed Oklahomans. More than 1,900 leaders have graduated from the program.
