Special Restrictions Must show ability to benefit. Must have minimum language and math skill levels of a minimum of 519 on TABE. High school diploma or equivalency (HSE) preferred. All students will be prescreened to determine if they have the basic skills/knowledge that are necessary to successfully complete the machining program. Must be healthy and able bodied with correctable vision. Open entry, controlled exit.
Course Description Emphasis on the safe operation of lathes and milling machines with blueprint reading, shop math, and precise measurement tolerances. Academic component includes life skills training and work readiness.
