Special Restrictions | Must show ability to benefit. Must have minimum language and math skill levels of a minimum of 519 on TABE. High school diploma or equivalency (HSE) preferred. All students will be prescreened to determine if they have the basic skills/knowledge that are necessary to successfully complete the machining program. Must be healthy and able bodied with correctable vision. Open entry, controlled exit. |
Course Description | Emphasis on the safe operation of lathes and milling machines with blueprint reading, shop math, and precise measurement tolerances. Academic component includes life skills training and work readiness. |
