Registration open for 2024 ICBS Show

The 2024 ICBS Show will be Oct. 7-9 at Metro Technology Centers in Oklahoma City.

The event, which offers assistance to businesses wanting to obtain contracts with federal, state and local governments, will be in Metro Tech’s Business Conference Center at 1900 Springlake Drive.

It will include informational sessions on government contracting, cybersecurity, accounting and legal issues, along with a matchmaking event that will introduce businesses to government agency buyers.

The event is hosted by OkAPEX Accelerator and TGI APEX Accelerator. Find more information on the Oklahoma CareerTech website.

 

High Plains students outfit fire truck

High Plains Technology Center welding students transformed a truck into a fully functional fire truck for Fort Supply.

The students started with a truck that had only a bed and a cab and mounted a fire skid, installed a monitor and wired all the controls and lights, along with other jobs necessary to prepare the truck.

CareerTech offers second chances through Skills Centers

Oklahoma CareerTech offers second chances to inmates under the supervision of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and juveniles under the supervision of the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs through the Skills Centers School System.

SCSS, a division of Oklahoma CareerTech, is also responsible for the state’s secondary dropout recovery initiatives.

The CareerTech communications and marketing team recently received access to three of our 16 Skills Centers sites to produce a video series about the tremendous impact of these programs. This video is a first look into the broader project.

 

Kiamichi Tech names Hugo, Antlers campus director

Kiamichi Technology Centers has named Rebecca Ludlow as campus director for the Hugo and Antlers campuses.

Ludlow, who was named Kiamichi Tech Teacher of the Year in 2024, will oversee all aspects of campus operations, academic programs and community engagement initiatives.
