Offender Data Information System
The Offender Data Information System (ODIS) is a comprehensive law enforcement and municipal court records management application.
The ODIS Project seeks to provide a viable, cost-effective records management system to meet the ever-increasing demands placed on criminal justice-related agencies. ODIS seeks to address the present and future problems of data collection, integration, sharing, and ongoing management of such a system.
ODIS has been designed using web-based technology in order to provide an easily upgradeable, networked records management tool for statewide information connectivity for the participating agencies.
ODIS takes into consideration the disparate needs of the various law enforcement, municipal court clerk, and other criminal justice-related agencies throughout the state.
The application is designed to decrease the level of duplication within the local agency and beyond. ODIS is flexible, ensures accurate data collection and reporting. Just as important, ODIS is cost-effective, easily managed and supported, and facilitates information sharing and statewide systems integration.
As of May 2024, 331 law enforcement agencies throughout Oklahoma are using the ODIS software program. All 331 agencies are connected to the network sharing information on a daily basis. Additional entities such as Probation and Parole, Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Forces, District Attorneys, Fugitive Task Forces, Child Enforcement Units, Indian tribes, and the Bureau of Narcotics have also joined or expressed interest in gaining access to the system.
First and foremost, the ODIS project is built upon a foundation of service to, and cooperation with, local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies in Oklahoma. As a result, the ODIS software program is constantly maturing to meet the ever-changing and diverse needs of the participating agencies.
