Following a year of virtual events, the ICBS Show is returning to Norman. It will be Aug. 17-18 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center.
ICBS has lined up speakers from several federal and state purchasing agencies as well as nationally recognized legal experts to bring a full day of training on the first day and part of the second. As in the past, most of the second day will be devoted to business matchmaking, an event bringing local businesses into one-on-one meetings with representatives from federal, state and local government agencies as well as certain large prime contractors looking for subcontractors.
A special networking activity will be held the evening of Aug. 16 for business attendees arriving early.
The ICBS Show is produced by Oklahoma’s two procurement technical assistance programs, Oklahoma PTAC and the Tribal Government Institute, a Native American PTAC. Both PTACs are supported in part by a grant from the Defense Logistics Agency. OkPTAC is a program of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
“All of us at OkPTAC and TGI are excited to return to the Embassy Suites and look forward to seeing everyone in person and seeing all the new business connections being made,” said Carter Merkle, OkPTAC program manager.
PTACs help businesses find, compete on and perform work for federal, state and local government agencies. The annual ICBS Show is both an outreach for new clients and a training and networking opportunity for existing clients.
