On March 5, 1982, Sherry Lakins was found deceased inside her home in Prague, Oklahoma.  Lakins' cause of death was strangulation and multiple stab wounds.

Suspicious Disappearance
March 3, 2016

In March of 2016, the family of Billy Joe Lange reported him missing. He was last seen in Caddo County earlier that month. His abandoned vehicle was found along I-40 in Canadian County just east of the Canadian and Caddo County lines. The Canadian County SO and OSBI have followed many leads, but have not been able to determine what happened to Lange.

September 28, 2013

James Richard "Rick" Larabee's last physical contact was on or around September 28, 2013, when he attended his class reunion in Davis, Oklahoma.  Rick texted his family on October 3, 2013, and said he was going to northwest Oklahoma and would return in 9 days.  That was the last contact family had with him.  It was learned that Rick cashed out his 401k just before he attended his class reunion.  His vehicle was sold in Georgia in April 2015 and his Texas driver's license expired in 2016 and was not renewed. At the time of his disappearance, Rick was 53-years-old, approximately 6'1", 180 lbs, with brown hair and eyes.

April 26, 2008

On April 26, 2008 Carter Leach was located deceased in the back of a pickup at Kicks 66 AKA Bruce’s Truck Stop at 16141 E. Skelly Drive, Catoosa, Oklahoma.  Leach died from blunt force trauma to the head.

September 25, 1972

On September 25, 1972, the body of Ruth Lee was discovered in her apartment in Anadarko, Oklahoma.  She had been stabbed and strangled to death.

April 22, 1987

On April 22, 1987, Diannia Lemmons’ vehicle was found abandoned on Old Highway 98 near Pine Creek Bridge near Wright City, Oklahoma. The headlights were on and the motor was idling. Lemmons’ purse and some personal items were found inside the vehicle. On April 29, 1987, Lemmons’ body was later found in a wooded area in McCurtain County.

May 5, 1982

On May 5, 1982, Pamela Long’s body was discovered on an oil lease near Keifer, Oklahoma. The Medical Examiner determined that Pamela had been strangled to death.

January 4, 1988

Anthony Mack, age 47, was last seen on Sac and Fox tribal land near Stroud, Oklahoma in Lincoln County.  He was fishing on the Deep Fork River.

August 31, 2008

On August 31, 2008, near Lake Thunderbird in Cleveland County, the body of a woman was found partially buried in a shallow grave. In August 2021, having exhausted all investigative leads, the case was prepared for genetic genealogy testing. Criminalists from the OSBI Forensic Science Center sent DNA from the remains to Parabon Nanolabs in an effort to locate relatives. Parabon returned results in March of 2022 identifying a possible relative. Special Agents contacted the relative and asked for a DNA sample to compare to the victim. The results came back positively identifying Angela Marie (Richards) Mason as the deceased. With this critical information, OSBI agents and analysts have intensified their investigative efforts to determine what happened to Mason.  Special Agents from the OSBI are investigating her death as a homicide. Agents returned to the location where Mason was found, in June 2022, to reprocess the scene. At that time, they located and collected additional evidence

November 12, 1988

On November 12, 1988, Dwayne McCorkendale was found dead at a rest stop located at mile 31 of the westbound lane of the Turner Turnpike in Lincoln, County, Oklahoma. He had been shot in the back, and was lying on the ground near a telephone booth at the rest stop.

On December 25, 1995, Jetty McElroy, age 31, was shot in the neck while at the Hatchet Club in Tom, Oklahoma.

Custer McFalls was slain in his Okmulgee residence on November 16, 1988.  McFalls was shot during an apparent robbery.

On August 7, 2004, Taddemika McHenry was found dead within the Northeast bedroom of the residence with an apparent injury to the back of her head.

On June 10, 1991, Patricia "Patti" McRay was found in her home in Lawton, Oklahoma.  Patti was stabbed multiple times and her body had been mutilated.

August 4, 1984

Nancy Medina, age 36, was last seen August 4, 1984, when she dropped her children off at a babysitter's house to go see video movies with some friends. Medina's car was found August 22 in Oklahoma City.

July 7, 2013

On July 7, 2013, Molly Miller and Colt Haynes were passengers in a vehicle driven by James Nipp, and were involved in a car chase with the Wilson Police Department.  Police lost the vehicle in Love County, Oklahoma.  Miller and Haynes disappeared after the pursuit.  On July 8, 2013, Miller and Haynes called friends asking for water and a ride, saying they were lost.  Two weeks later the vehicle involved in the pursuit was found abandoned in a wooded area.  Miller and Haynes have not been seen since.

On November 19, 1991, Jimmy Mills, age 72, was found shot to death in his home in Tom, Oklahoma in McCurtain County.

On June 13, 1977, the bodies of 8-year-old Lori Farmer, 9-year-old Michelle Guse, and 10-year-old Denise Milner were discovered in their tent at a Girl Scout camp near Locust Grove, Oklahoma, in Mayes County.

October 31, 1992

On October 31, 1992, the body of Katherine "Mookie" Moore was discovered in rural Grady County.  Moore had been missing from Chickasha for five days before she was found. The medical examiner was able to determine that Moore died from asphyxia.

On August 26, 2016, the bodies of Emily Morgan and Totinika Elix were found in a vehicle in Bache, Oklahoma, in Pittsburg County.  Both women had died from gunshot wounds.

March 21, 1983

On March 21, 1983, Loyd Morgan was shot to death at his place of business, Morgan Implements, a farm machinery business located on South Highway 69 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Morgan had been dragged into the shop building of the business and was shot three times in the head with a small caliber weapon. A customer came to the business and found Morgan only a few minutes later.  Morgan's wallet had been stolen.

July 14, 1987

On July 14, 1987, witnesses saw a silver pickup behind Floyd Moss’ residence.  Two males and one female were carrying items from the residence to the pickup.  The following day, Floyd was found deceased inside his home and several items belonging to Floyd were missing.

On October 26, 2011, Carolyn "Carol" Mowrer, age 66, was discovered dead in her Johnston County residence by a home health care worker.  Evidence at the scene suggested Mowrer was killed during a robbery.

August 24, 2014

Travis Murrow was last seen in Enid, Oklahoma, on August 24, 2014, at an associate's residence.  Travis' vehicle was abandoned in a rural area of Dewey County on the same night.  Travis was on his way to either Oakwood, or Selling, Oklahoma, to see one of two acquaintences that lived in the area.  He never arrived at either location.  Travis last communicated via cell phone with one of the acquaintences shortly after 10 PM on the night of August 24.  He has not been seen or heard from since.  Travis traveled the rodeo circuit in this area and had many associates in the rodeo world.
