Mamie Caldwell

June 25, 2020

Betty Jo (Fillmore) Calvin

Suspicious Death
November 9, 1988

On November 9, 1988, Betty Calvin’s burned vehicle was discovered in a ditch in a remote location northeast of Frederick, Oklahoma, in Tillman County. Skeletal remains were found in the vehicle.  With dental records, the remains were identified as Betty.

George Neil Campbell

June 22, 1998

On June 22, 1998, the body of George Campbell was found in his vehicle with gunshot wounds to his head.  The vehicle was located on Pelican Point Road in Mannford, Oklahoma.

Gerthie Carolina

August 11, 1997

On August 11, 1997, Gerthie Carolina, age 81, was found murdered in her home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.  She had been stabbed to death.

Inez Carpenter

December 7, 2001

On December 7, 2001, the body of Inez Carpenter was found by fishermen in Cherokee Landing State Park near Lake Tenkiller.  The Medical Examiner determined that Carpenter died from blunt force trauma to her chest.

Marsha Carol Carson

April 10, 2001

Marsha Carson was found dead in the pool at her Altus residence on April 10, 2001.

Sandra Kay Carter-Davis

June 2, 1978

On November 23, 1978, hunters discovered skeletal remains in a shallow grave near the Wild Horse Mountain area of Sequoyah County. With personal items found with the remains, the victim was identified as Sandra Carter-Davis.  Sandra was last seen on June 2, 1978, entering Ray’s Bar in Sallisaw.

Dustin Ray Carver

Suspicious Disappearance
March 2, 2014

Dustin Carver, age 20, was reported missing to the Kansas, Oklahoma Police Department in Delaware County. He was last seen March 3, 2014, and might have left with an unknown person(s) in a white pickup. Carver was a white male, 5’7-5’11, 160 lbs, brown eyes, short black hair with sideburns and goatee, tattoo of a cross on right forearm, tattoo of the name Ray on right shoulder blade.

Jane Marie Chafton

Suspicious Death
August 13, 1999

On August 13, 1999 Jane Chafton was found in a pond in rural Stephens County, Oklahoma.  Chafton's body was nude when she was found.

Johnnie H. Ball

January 28, 1982

On January 28, 1982, the body of Michael Anthony Clark, age 23, was found in a bar ditch northeast of Carter, Oklahoma in Beckham County. Clark had been shot numerous times with a shotgun.

Ethel Mae Cobb

January 21, 1990

Ethel Cobb, age 80, was found in her home in Marietta, Oklahoma, on January 21, 1990.  Ethel had been beaten to death.

Kathryn Louise Cochran

May 27, 1989

On May 27, 1989, the body of Kathryn Cochran was found along a county road northwest of Stroud, Oklahoma. Her body was nude from the waist down and she died from the result of strangulation.

Ophelia Colbert

June 21, 1989

On June 21, 1989, Ophelia Colbert, age 79, was found shot to death inside her home in Boley, Oklahoma during an apparent robbery.  About an hour before she was found, a witness saw two slender black men, possibly in their twenties, driving a white car leaving Ophelia’s home.

Tommy Ray Coleman, Jr.

Homicide
June 5, 2007

On June 5, 2007, Tommy Coleman was seen visiting at a location in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  Later that night, Coleman was observed getting into a car occupied by four unknown subjects.  On June 7, 2007, Coleman's body was found in a ditch, along a rural county road, four miles south of Ponca City.

Dorsey Lee Conaway

February 15, 1974

On February 15, 1974, Dorsey Conaway was found shot to death on Coal County Road east of Lehigh, Oklahoma.

Aeileen Ann Conway

Suspicious Death
April 29, 1986

Aeileen Conway died in a car wreck in east Comanche County.  Circumstances at her residence in Lawton indicated she left her residence in a hurry.  It was suspected Conway interrupted a burglary and she may have been abducted and killed by one or more persons.

Jame Earl Cook

December 3, 1977

On December 3, 1977, James Cook, age 39, and Ralph Patty, age 59, were found shot to death in Cook’s home near Idabel, Oklahoma.  Shortly before their bodies were discovered, a 1976 or 1977 white and blue Buick with Texas license plates was seen near the residence.  Robbery did not appear to be a motive.

James Holley Cooper

Homicide
July 23, 2015

On July 23, 2015 at 10:26 PM, James Coooper had finished playing tennis with friends in Tulsa.  James was leaving when witnesses stated they heard four or five gunshots and someone yelled from their parked car.  James was found on the ground with gunshot wounds.  The suspect was described as a black male, 5'7"- 5'9" and 160-170 pounds.

Craig Andrew Copperthite

Homicide
December 20, 1978

Craig Copperthite, age 19, left the Arlington, Virginia area in November 1978.  On December 20, 1978, Craig’s body was discovered on a roadside near Bromide, Oklahoma.  The Medical Examiner reported that Craig died from head trauma and asphyxia. Craig’s family said that he was a drifter but they did not know how he got to Oklahoma.

Deborah Denise Cordell

July 21, 2003

The body of Deborah Cordell, age 49, was discovered in her Tahlequah home on July 21, 2003.  Cordell died from blunt force trauma to her head, according to the Medical Examiner.

Sarah Ida Cox

Homicide
April 6, 2001

Sarah Cox was reported missing on 4/6/2001, and was last seen leaving her job at the 7-11 at SW 119th and May Avenue in Oklahoma City.  Her car was found the next day abandoned in Earlywine Park, across the street from the 7-11 where Sarah worked.  Sarah was found dead in a creek bed next to a country road in Tuttle, Oklahoma, on 4/11/2001.  The location being the 1200 block of Frisco Road.  Sarah was found dressed, but her clothing was disarranged, and the Medical Examiner advised she had been suffocated.

David Allen Crabtree

Suspicious Disappearance
April 9, 2000

David Crabtree, Native American male, was last seen at his home in Locust Grove, Oklahoma on April 9, 2000. Crabtree was 13 years old when he disappeared, 5'5", 125 lbs, brown hair and eyes. Included is an age-progressed photo to age 31.

Larry Cranor

November 5, 1980

On November 5, 1980, Larry Cranor, age 25, was shot outside of his residence near Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  Cranor died in a hospital on November 7, 1980.

Kevin Joseph Crutchfield

May 22, 2000

On May 22, 2000, the body of Kevin Crutchfield was discovered in rural McIntosh County. He had been shot to death and his body had been dumped in a wooded area.

Cathy Ann Dalton

April 14, 1984

On April 14, 1984, a white female was discovered in a shallow grave at a rest stop located at mile marker 6 on the southbound side of Muskogee Turnpike.  Using dental records, the victim was later identified as Cathy Dalton, age 31.

Arthur Porter Daniel

November 1, 1981

On November 1, 1981, Arthur Daniel was found shot to death in his vehicle at the intersection of 11th Street and D Street in Ardmore.  He had been shot in the head.

Cora Lee Davis

September 16, 1973

On September 16, 1973, Cora Lee Davis, age 10, rode her bicycle to the local grocery store.  Cora never returned home and her bicycle was found behind the grocery store.  On October 1, 1973, Cora's decomposed remains were found in a field about four miles northeast of Mangum, Oklahoma.

Douglas Dean Davis

March 10, 1991

On March 10, 1991, the body of Douglas Dean Davis was discovered inside the cab of a burned Chevrolet pickup in a rural area south of Eagletown, Oklahoma.  Douglas had been shot to death.

Linda Sue Davis

January 7, 1976

Linda Davis, age 29, was last seen on January 7, 1976, in the company of an unknown white male in Don’s Club in Claremore, Oklahoma in Rogers County.  Later the same month, Davis’ vehicle was located in Oklahoma City and contained blood stains and a coat with numerous slashes.

Mary Myrtie Davis

On June 19, 1972, 80-year-old Mary Davis was found beaten to death in her home in Davis, Oklahoma in Murray County.

Michael Dewayne Davis

May 23, 2009

On May 23, 2009, at approximately 11:36 AM, the body of Michael Davis was discovered lying in the street on West 122nd East Avenue in Tulsa.  Michael had been shot several times.  Michael's vehicle was located in the East Central Village Apartment Complex in Tulsa.

Ronnie Odell Davis

Missing Person
August 24, 1977

Ronnie Davis was last seen at his horse corral near Swink, Oklahoma, on August 24, 1977. Neither Davis nor his white and blue 1975 Ford XLT have been located since. Davis is believed to be the victim of foul play. Davis was a white male, age 24, 6'1", 175 lbs, with red hair.  Davis had upper dentures with gold caps.

Tony Gene Day

December 2, 2009

Tony Day, age 46, was last seen by his family on the morning of December 3, 2009, when he left for work at Kimray in Oklahoma County.  Tony was driving his Kimray pickup, which was later found abandoned in the area of 63rd and Henney Road in Jones, Oklahoma.

Cassandra Arlene Deckard

On December 20, 1982, Cassandra Deckard, age 19, was found strangled to death in her apartment in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Charley Riley Deffebaugh

February 28, 1994

On February 28, 1994, Charles Deffebaugh was found murdered in his apartment in Wagoner, Oklahoma, by his family and young daughter.  Charles lived in Tennessee but traveled to Oklahoma from time to time to visit his children in Wagoner, and preach at a revival.

Dean Herbert Denney

February 1, 1983

The body of Dean Denney, age 23, was discovered in a residence on North Griffin Street in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on February 1, 1983. Denney had been beaten and his throat had been cut.

On September 19, 2018, Lessie Dever, age 36, was shot in the head, and was found across the street from his residence in Idabel, Oklahoma.

Sheila Ann Deviney

January 6, 2004

On January 6, 2004, Sheila Deviney, age 30, died in a fire at her home near Mayesville, Oklahoma. Evidence at the scene suggested the fire was not accidental.

Marie G. Dighton

June 5, 2008

On June 5, 2008, Marie Dighton was found dead on the floor of her home in Latimer County, Oklahoma.  Dighton had trauma to her neck but the home had not been ransacked and cash was left untouched.

Leonard Neal Dirickson

Missing Person
March 14, 1998

Leonard Dirickson was last seen at his farm in Strong City, Oklahoma on March 14, 1998.  He left the farm in a white Ford F-150 single cab pickup with an unknown male driver to look at horses in Mobeetie, Texas and near Elk City, Oklahoma.  The truck might have had a New Mexico license plate and a yellow tag on the front bumper.  Dirickson was age 39, 5'10"-6'1", 200 lbs, gray eyes, brown hair, and handlebar mustache.

On October 4, 2021, a landowner discovered human skeletal remains in his pasture in Minco, Oklahoma in Grady County.

June 24, 1987

On June 24, 1987, a decomposed female body was found in Short Creek, southwest of the Interstate 35 Paoli exit in Garvin County.  The victim had been shot in the head.  She was a white female, age 21-35, approximately 5'3", with brown hair. Jane (Norman) Doe

April 16, 1981

On April 16, 1981, hunters found skeletal remains in Norman, Oklahoma.  The victim was a female of Caucasian or Native American descent, age 30-50, 5'4-5'7, approximately 120 pounds.  The included photo is a facial reconstruction of the victim.

Jane (Sequoyah County) Doe

October 23, 1994

On October 23, 1994, an unidentified female body was discovered near Dora, Oklahoma in Sequoyah County.  This victim had been bound around her ankles and was wrapped in landscaping material. The Medical Examiner was unable to determine the victim's cause of death.  The victim was white, Asian, or Native American, age late thirties to early fifties, approximately 5'3", with short dark and gray hair. John (Beckham County) Doe

February 16, 1982

On February 16, 1982, the body of an unidentified white male was found in Beckham County.  This victim was 5'10, 125-140 lbs, slender build, light brown hair in an afro style, long side burns, scraggly beard and mustache.  The attached photo is an artist's sketch of this victim.

John (Coal County) Doe

November 26, 1983

On November 26, 1983, a hunter discovered skeletal remains in a wooded area near Highway 31 in Coal County. The remains belonged to a male, estimated 5'7, approximately 45-60 years old, and was from Caucasian or Hispanic descent.  The included photo is an artist's rendering of how this victim may have looked.

John (Johnston County) Doe

On July 8, 2002, skeletal remains were discovered near Highway 1, north of Ravia in Johnston County.  The victim was a Hispanic or Latino male, age 35-50.  The included photo is a facial reconstruction of the victim.

John (Logan County) Doe

December 12, 1997

On December 12, 1997, skeletal remains were located in Logan County near the intersection of Bryant Road and Simpson Road.  The remains belonged to a male of Native American, Hispanic, or Asian descent, approximately 20 years of age, 5'6, with black hair.  This victim died from a gunshot wound to the head.  The included photo is a facial reconstruction of the victim.

John (McCurtain County) Doe

April 13, 1983

On April 13, 1983, the partially decomposed body of an unknown white male was found in a location approximately ten miles north of the intersection of Highways 3 and 98 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. The head, hands, and genitals of the victim were missing.

John (Murray County) Doe

May 30, 2010

On May 30, 2010, a human skull was discovered in a field in Murray County, Oklahoma. The Medical Examiner determined the skull belonged to a Caucasian male, approximately 22-30 years old, with a small build.  The Medical Examiner was unable to determine the victim's cause of death. The included photo is a facial reconstruction and shows how the victim may have looked.

John (Texas County) Doe

May 11, 1999

In May of 1999, skeletal remains were discovered in south central Texas County, Oklahoma, northeast of Hitchland, Texas.  The remains are believed to be a male, age 43-47, height 5'4-5'6, with medium build.  He was Hispanic or Caucasian and had extensive dental work.  The victim was wearing a light blue/grey medium weight jacket with a tan Levi shirt and tan Levi jeans.

John (Wagoner County 1980) Doe

April 30, 1980

On April 30, 1980, a hunter discovered the body of an unidentified male in Wagoner County near the intersection of 51st Street and 209th East Avenue.  The victim was wearing green coveralls, brown ski mask, and lace-up work boots.  He was approximately 45-55 years old, 5'4"-5'6", brown hair, and had extensive dental work, but lower front teeth were in noticably bad condition.

John (Wagoner County 1983) Doe

Suspicious Death
May 9, 1983

On May 9, 1983, a decomposed body was found in a field about one mile from the intersection of Highways 51 and 69 in Wagoner County.  The victim was male, possibly African American, age 55-65, height 5'8-5'10.  The victim was wearing a long sleeve floral Hawaiian shirt, size XL.  The victim was wearing five silver and yellow rings with transparent stones, held together with a band.

Tina Mae Duffell

Homicide
October 18, 1974

Tina Duffell’s body was found on October 18, 1974, submerged by timber and brush in Prairie Dog Pond, near Quapaw, Oklahoma. Investigators believe Duffell was either abducted or left with someone from the C and D grocery store in Quapaw where she was working at the time of her murder. Her autopsy revealed Duffell had stab wounds to her neck.

Brandon Dupree

Homicide
October 20, 2018

On October 20, 2018, a shooting occurred at the Langston Center, located off campus. A party was taking place inside when a fight broke out. Brandon Dupree, age 19, was shot one time and died at the hospital.  Brandon was not a Langston University student. He was enrolled in welding school in Tulsa, where he lived, and had no ties to the university. He traveled to Langston with friends to attend the party being thrown in conjunction with homecoming.
