The Oklahoma State Department of Education Office of Student Development provides a holistic approach to supporting educators and families through comprehensive school counseling, academic advising, college and career readiness, behavioral learning resources, and school-based mental health. The mission of the Office of Student Development is to provide training, technical assistance, and consultation to school communities that aim to strengthen students' skills to achieve academic and future success.

The Student Development Office supports a coordinated, school-based system of care that helps connect every student to the right support, at the right time, in the right place. Through collaboration among school counselors, school-employed licensed mental health professionals, families, educators, and community partners, this model promotes student wellness, safety, resilience, and success.
