American Indian Education
The Office of American Indian Education provides guidance and leadership to local educational agencies seeking partnership with any of the 39 Sovereign Tribal Nations. Services include technical assistance and quality professional development to bridge connections between the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Local Education Agencies, and Tribal Education Agencies.
Literacy Policy & Programs
Literacy – the ability to read, write, speak, and listen effectively – is the door to learning, both in school and in life. To experience literature, embrace history, engage in research, or understand the principles of the universe, we must first be literate.
Office of State Assessments
Information in the OSTP portal showcases your student's performance on the Oklahoma School Testing Program (OSTP) Tests in key academic areas. State test results, when combined with other information (i.e. homework, classwork, report card grades, and local assessments), can help you and the teacher work together to support your student's growth. Your student's State ID number is required to access their scores. If you do not have this number, please contact your student's school.
SoonerStart
SoonerStart is Oklahoma’s early intervention program designed to meet the needs of families with infants or toddlers with developmental delays. Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the program builds upon and provides support and resources to assist family members to enhance infant's or toddler's learning and development through everyday learning opportunities.
Special Education
Special Education Services is committed to providing guidance and support to promote excellence in education from infancy to adulthood for children with disabilities as outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA).
Standards and Learning
The Office of Standards and Learning supports school leaders, educators, families, and communities in providing high-quality curriculum and instruction to Oklahoma students to ensure students are college, career, and citizen-ready.
