- Monthly updates: High-Quality Instructional Materials
The 2026–2027 instructional materials review subjects will be finalized by April, pending the State Board of Education's review of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Social Studies (OAS-SS) at the March board meeting. The Intent to Bid will open on the first Friday in March for all five subject areas (Science, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, and Vocational Education). The State Textbook Committee voted that, if the State Board of Education approves the 2026 OAS-SS, the instructional materials cycle will include Science and Social Studies. If not, the instructional materials cycle will proceed with Science, Health, Physical Education, and Vocational Education.
The State Textbook Committee approved instructional materials for Personal Financial Literacy. Go to the approved titles to view approved materials and rubrics.
Due to the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s stay on the 2025 standards, the State Textbook Committee has suspended the Social Studies adoption cycle.
