The Division of Teacher Recruitment and Retention is the home of the Offices of Teacher Certification, School Personnel Records, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Learning, and Teacher Recruitment and Retention, which houses Teacher Recruitment, Teacher Retention, Teacher Recognition, and Leadership Development.

The Office of Teacher Certification ensures that educators are properly credentialed and provides technical assistance to school districts, teachers, and college administrators regarding certification.

The Office of School Personnel Records (SPR) is responsible for collecting and maintaining the annual certified and support personnel reports, administrators’ salary and benefits reports, superintendents’ contracts, and approved salary schedules for each Oklahoma school district. Additionally, the office maintains the historical employment data for all certified and support school employees.

The Office of AI and Digital Learning supports school leaders, educators, families, and communities in integrating innovative artificial intelligence and digital technologies into teaching and learning, ensuring Oklahoma students develop the digital literacy and technological fluency needed to be college, career, and citizen-ready in an increasingly connected world.

The Offices of Teacher Recruitment & Retention work together to strengthen, support, and celebrate Oklahoma’s educators. Through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and professional learning opportunities, we attract aspiring teachers, connect them to certification pathways, and provide ongoing support throughout their careers. Our efforts focus on helping educators thrive in their classrooms, grow as leaders, and feel valued for their impact. Leadership programs such as Oklahoma Teacher Empowerment, Paid Student Teaching, and Grow Your Own empower teachers to excel, while recognition initiatives, including the Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year, honor excellence, innovation, and commitment to student success.
