Oklahoma Teacher Empowerment Program
Teacher Empowerment Program
These funds enable excellent educators to enhance their professional growth and compensation as leaders in their district, without requiring them to transition into an administrative role. School districts can identify and designate up to 10% of their highest-quality teachers for advanced, lead, and master designations annually. HB 1412 allows districts that receive Title I funds within the top quartile of individual student allotment amounts to designate an additional ten percent (10%) of teachers employed at school sites that receive Title I funds as advanced, lead, or master teachers. Teachers will receive a stipend of $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the designation level. Teachers employed at a school with economically disadvantaged students (enrollment of 40% or more) or at a district with an enrollment of fewer than 1,000 students will receive an additional one-time award of $1,500 to $5,000, depending on their designation.
District Superintendents may begin submitting applications for the 2026-2027 school year on July 1.
