Drive Back to School

Service Oklahoma will be open for additional hours every Saturday through the rest of the summer at some of our busiest locations to better serve Oklahoma’s teen drivers and their parents.

Customers can visit the locations listed below from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for written and driving tests. Each location will be walk-in only, with customers served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Step 1

Before you take your written test…

  • Make sure you are old enough to get a Learner Permit. You must be at least 15 and a half years old if you are also enrolled in Driver Education. If you are not taking Driver Education, you must be at least 16 years old.
  • Study! There is only one Oklahoma Driver Manual, please only study with the manual provided on the Service Oklahoma website.
  • Gather your documents. You will need your primary ID, your Social Security Number and either a driver education enrollment contract or a completion certification. And, if you parent or guardian is unable to come with, make sure they’ve filled out a parent authorization form.

Step 2

Before you take your driving test…

  • Check your eligibility. Have you had your Learner Permit for at least 6 months? If you have not completed driver education, you must also be at least 16 and a half years old.
  • Finish your behind-the-wheel training. You must have completed at least 50 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a 21-year old who has had their license for at least 2 years.
  • Gather your documents. You will need to bring you certificate showing you completed driver education, as well as your Learner Permit, to your drive test. You will also need to bring proof of insurance showing you are a covered driver on your insurance plan. And, if you parent or guardian is unable to come with, make sure they’ve filled out a parent authorization form.

  • Driver education completion certificate if applicable
  • A parent or legal guardian, or a notarized parent authorization form

    *Vehicle must pass inspection before drive test. Check the SOK website for more information on vehicle inspection.
