How to Get Started
Step 1:
Sign Up Online
Select a test type:
- Class D
Carefully review the rules and requirements, then agree to the terms and conditions.
Step 2:
Take a Selfie
You will be asked to take two photos during registration.
- The first one will help ensure your equipment is working properly
- The second will be utilized by the system as a control photo throughout your test
Note: Small changes in appearance during testing, such as adding or removing glasses or obscuring your face with your hair or hands, can affect photo verification during your test.
Step 3:
Verify Your Identity
Enter your personal information to register, then answer the verification questions to proceed.

You must have an adult (proxy) present to complete the identity verification section.
Step 4:
Begin Your Test
You'll have 60 minutes to complete your Online Written Test. Good luck!

No, there is no extra fee for taking the Written Exam online.
While the Written Exam can be taken as many times as needed, you may take the Written Exam online two times. After two fails on the online version, you will need to come see us in person for further attempts.
*As a reminder, there will be a $4 fee for every failed attempt added to your account that will be due at the time of issuance.
You will receive your results immediately after completing the test. Once you've passed, find a location near you and apply for your Learner Permit! Learn more here.
The fee to issue and print a Learner Permit is $42.50. There will be an additional $4 fee for every fail on your account due at the time of issuance.

Getting a Learner Permit
A Learner Permit is required if you are under 18 to take a drive test.
Before taking the drive test, you must:
- Hold your Learner Permit for at least 180 days
- Complete at least 50 hours of behind-the-wheel training (including 10 hours at night)
- Have no traffic convictions on your driving record
- Complete the Work Zone Safe online course (free and available here)
Getting a Learner Permit
A Learner Permit is not required if you are 18 or older to take a drive test.
However, if you choose to get one for practice, you must hold it for at least 30 days before applying for an unrestricted license.
Getting a Driver License
Visit a Service Oklahoma Licensing Office to take a drive test.
During your visit, the Driving Examiner will tell you where to drive and what driving maneuvers to perform.
If you recently passed your Written Exam, you can visit a Service Oklahoma location or a Licensed Operator (tag agent) to get your Learner Permit.
If you're 18 or older and need a Driver License, you can take your drive test at:
