CE Broker & CME

The page is intended to provide additional information on Continuing Medical Education (CME) and the use of CE Broker for annual renewal.

CE Broker is the designated learning management sytem of OSBOE and the licensee is required to enter their annual CME credits in their CE Broker account.

A no-cost account is the minimum requirement for entering these hours. A paid account is not required for participation.  Paid accounts are optional and OSBOE does not receive payment for those or any use of CE Broker.

Oklahoma CME providers will report the 1 hour Pain Management, Opioid Use or Addiction CME on the licensees behalf.  They may also report the other hours completed with their organization.  To obtain more information on what they will report, reach out to the specific organization in question.

NOTE: CME Exceptions must be entered for each CME Cycle.  The process to complete that is below.

Licensed Osteopathic Physicians are required to obtain sixteen (16) Category 1 American Osteopathic Association (AOA) hours during the CME cycle of July 1 and June 30 each year.

One of those hours must be obtained at a course previously approved by the Board for Pain Management, Opioid Use, or Addiction. A current list of approved courses can be found on our website here.

NOTE: Physicians that obtain/maintain board certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) may use American Medical Assocation (AMA) PRA Category 1 credit hours received during the current CME cycle of July 1 - June 30 to satisfy their CME credits for renewal.

  • Physicians that were in a residency/fellowship at any time during the CME cycle are excepted from obtaining CME, and must enter that exception in CE Broker.
  • Physicians that do not possess an OBNDD/DEA registration in Oklahoma are excepted from the 1 hour Pain Management, Opioid Use or Addiction CME and must enter that exception in CE Broker.
