Programs and Partnership Officer

Under the direction of the Statewide Programs Manager, the Programs and Partnerships Officer (APO II) will coordinate statewide programming initiatives for the direct benefit of public libraries across the state. The incumbent will work closely with public libraries to understand the unique needs of their communities and develop impactful, outcome-based programs that address those needs. The Programs and Partnerships Officer will be responsible for leading complex project management efforts, including the oversight of state and federal grant-funded initiatives, with project scopes that may encompass digital literacy, civic engagement, health literacy, and workforce development. This includes analyzing data to make informed decisions, ensuring effective program implementation, and reporting progress to stakeholders. A critical aspect of this position is fostering and maintaining strong, strategic relationships with colleagues across the agency, library professionals, state agencies, and community organizations. Through collaboration and partnership-building, the Programs and Partnerships Officer will ensure programs are aligned with both local and statewide priorities, creating lasting benefits for public libraries and the communities they serve.

Library Operations Consultant

Under the direction of the Consultant Team Lead, the Library Operations Consultant will be responsible for supporting public library development statewide by providing comprehensive consulting on operations, customer service, collection management, facilities, data collection and analysis, and strategic planning. This includes regular on-site visits to libraries and working with city leaders and library staff to ensure effective implementation and support.
