Citizenship & Civic Engagement
The program helps libraries support community members on their path to U.S. citizenship. They also encourage civic participation through voter information, community programs, and opportunities to engage fully in civic life.
Citizenship and Civic Engagement Grant
ODL's Citizenship and Civic Engagement Grant supports libraries and literacy organizations as they educate and support individuals pursuing citizenship and developing their civic literacy. Programming can take the form of civics instruction, English language learning classes, and outreach efforts and community collaboration.
Grant applications open in the mid-year. Stay up-to-date on application windows, grant guidelines, and funding news by subscribing to our newsletter at oklahoma.gov/libraries or visiting Foundant Grants Management.
Citizenship and Civic Engagement projects are funded through citizenship and civic engagement grants to public libraries from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
