U.S. Government Information Division
ODL is a selective depository library of the Depository Library Program of the U.S. Government Publishing Office. The majority of this collection is distributed by the Government Publishing Office as part of the Federal Depository Library Program. We offer and promote free public access to federal government information with tangible and digital materials.
Oklahoma’s Territorial Library began receiving federal government publications in 1893. Today, ODL’s U.S. Government Information Division receives publications from all three branches of the government: executive, legislative, and judicial.
As a selective depository library, we receive 100% of our new federal publications per year digitally. We specialize in knowing and working with federal government websites.
Anyone can use our materials in person, but only state government employees can check out materials directly. Other customers can borrow materials through the statewide interlibrary loan program. The loan period for most materials is 30 days.
