Voter Registration Privacy Information

Information provided for voter registration purposes will be used by elections officials to send you official information on the voting process, such as Voter Identification Cards and changes to polling place locations.

A full or partial Social Security number or driver license number in a Voter Registration Record or a Voter Registration Application shall not be considered a public record and shall be kept confidential by the State Election Board and each county election board.  Other information included in the Electronic Voter Registration Application is subject to the access and confidentiality provisions of state and federal law. Email addresses obtained as a result of a request to the site may be maintained in order to respond to the request, but will not be sold or given to private companies for marketing purposes.

Strict security standards and procedures are maintained regarding unauthorized access to voter information to prevent unauthorized removal or alteration of data.

In Oklahoma, voters of a certain class as defined by 26 § O.S. 4-115.2 and Address Confidentiality Program participants under 22 O.S. § 60.14 may qualify for confidentiality of residence and mailing address.
